Medical training

➔ The Souss Massa University Hospital Center participates in the practical medical training of medical students in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Agadir.
➔ Through its internship offer, the CHU Souss Massa allows students to benefit from the conditions necessary for the transfer of their theoretical knowledge. Thus, students give meaning to their future profession and forge their skills as future leaders.

RESIDENCY

1- Access to the specialty

  • Being a medical doctor;
  • Having worked in this capacity for at least 1 year*
  • 1.Choose the type of medical, surgical or biological specialty;
  • 2.Pass the residency competition;
  • 3.Choose the positions definitively (in order of ranking in the competition).
⮩ Contract Position
  • Being a medical student;
  • Having validated the 5th year of medical studies (examinations and hospital internships).
    • 1.Pass the boarding school competition;
    • 2. Validate your 2 years of internship;
    • 3.Register for the specialty diploma.

N.B: The obligation to obtain the maximum medical degree during the first year of residency.

NB :

- The internship or residency competition is organized each year by the faculty of medicine;
- Officials wishing to participate in the residency competition can do so without the agreement of their line of command
- Duration of residency training:
Specialties Duration of study
Occupational medicine and sports medicine Three years
Medical, pharmaceutical, biological or odontological Four years
Surgical and internal medicine Cinq années

2- Internships

  • Ensure follow-up visits to patients;
  • Provide emergency care in the assigned services on the days and times provided for in the on-call schedule;
  • Participate in the supervision of external students and interns.
  • Full-time internship;
  • Theoretical and practical training provided by teacher-researchers under the responsibility of the head of hospital department.

3- Rights and obligations

4- Administrative procedure for a new resident

a) Retrieve your assignment note at the CHU SM management level;
b) Sign your service statement;
c) Compile your file and submit it to the Human Resources and Career Management Department at the CHU SM management for regularization:

NB :

- The files are communicated to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and other stakeholders through the CHU Souss Massa;
- Financial regularization is made at the level of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection for civil servants and contract workers and at the level of the CHU Souss Massa for volunteer doctors.
