Medical training

➔ The Souss Massa University Hospital Center participates in the practical medical training of medical students in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Agadir.
➔ Through its internship offer, the CHU Souss Massa allows students to benefit from the conditions necessary for the transfer of their theoretical knowledge. Thus, students give meaning to their future profession and forge their skills as future leaders.

INTERNSHIP

1- Training: Medical internship

  • By way of competition;
  • The appointment is made by the Minister of Public Health on the basis of the admission list.
    • No one can take the internship exam more than four times or after the defense of the thesis.
    • Students regularly enrolled in medicine, dentistry and pharmacy studies and having validated all the modules, internships and practical work corresponding to the following years are eligible
The first five years of medical studies
  • A general medicine internship;
  • A general surgery internship;
  • A pediatric internship or a gynecology-obstetrics internship
The obligation to change departments every six months and validate all internships
The duration of the internship is two years: six-month internship (four semesters) full-time
  • Choice made by interns in order of merit and under the supervision of the director of the hospital centre;
  • The number of positions to be filled by department is set jointly by the dean and the director of the hospital center, taking into account the needs of the departments and educational priorities.
  • Ensure follow-up visits to patients;
  • Provide emergency care in the assigned services on the days and times provided for in the on-call schedule;
  • Participate in the supervision of external students.
  • The theoretical and practical training of interns is provided by teacher-researchers under the authority of the head professor of the hospital department.
By the head of the assigned hospital department, taking into account attendance, knowledge and mastery of practical and technical tasks and behavior.
The disciplinary component is governed in accordance with the regulations in force, in particular articles 30, 31 and 32 of Decree No. 2-91-527 of 21 kaada 1413 (May 13, 1993).

2- Rights and obligations

3- Administrative approach of a new internal doctor

a) Retrieve your memo from the CHU SM;
b) Sign your service statement;
c) Compile your file and submit it to the Human Resources and Career Management Department at the CHU SM management:
  • 04 passport photos;
  • 04 legalized copies of the CNIE;
  • 02 Anthropometric record or criminal record;
  • 02 Information sheet;
  • 04 legalized copies of school certificates bearing all the years of schooling;
  • 04 certificates of enrollment in the 1st year of internship;
  • 01 housing/non-housing certificate;
  • 01 specimen check or RIB certificate.

N.B: This file is completed and then forwarded, by the note of the CHU Souss Massa, to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection for regularization.
